Ordained
to the gospel ministry in 1996, Rev. Dawn follows the tradition
and legacy of the Daughtry family, making her the fifth generation
of preachers. Rev. Dawn is the third and youngest daughter of
the distinguished Reverend Doctor Herbert and Doctor Karen S,
Daughtry. In 2003, Rev. Dawn married Todd Alexander Pemberton
and they currently reside in Brooklyn, New York.
Rev.
Dawn is a product of both the New York City and New Jersey public
school system, and received her undergraduate degree in Psychology
from Syracuse University. In addition, Rev. Dawn earned her Masters
of Science degree in Educational Supervision and Administration.
Currently, she is finishing her final semester of studies at New
York Theological Seminary and on May 20, 2006, she will earn her
Masters of Divinity degree.
A
true "PK", Rev. Dawn served faithfully at The House
of the Lord Pentecostal Church in Brooklyn, New York. Her responsibilities
included local Youth Leader and Coordinator of the Ministerial
Council. In October of 2003, Rev. Dawn became the ministry leader
of The House of the Lord Fellowship in Bergen County. In addition
to her local assembly responsibilities, Rev. Dawn is the director
of the National Department of Youth for The House of the Lord
Churches across the country.
Rev.
Dawn’s love for young people is also evidenced by her professional
pursuits. As a teacher, she has touched the lives of many 7th
and 8th graders in her Social Studies and Language Arts classrooms.
Currently, Rev. Dawn is the Assistant Principal at The Ronald
Edmonds Learning Center, Middle School 113 in Brooklyn, New York.
